欣赏歌曲让学生心灵受到震撼，地球破坏得太厉害了，保护地球势在必行。
通过猜谜的方式引出地球上的事物people, animal, tree, water, home，进一步通过字谜教学earth，揭题。
检测学生预习的情况，并通过“__________ is useful. We use ______ to _______.”来激活学生已有的知识经验和生活经验。
围绕What should we protect? Why should we protect them?和How to protect them?三个问题，分三个层次进行听、读、说的训练，逐步理解文本，学习新知。
以第一人称的口吻来叙述某一种物质、能源的作用，对人们的破坏行为表示不满，并发出呼吁，显得更加亲切而有力。
